Family Fun at Charlotte FC Games: A Complete Guide to Kid-Friendly Experiences

Updated 3/5/2026: Looking for a fun and exciting way to spend quality time with your family in Charlotte? Charlotte FC offers a variety of kid-friendly experiences that will make attending a game a memorable outing for families of all ages. From interactive pre-game activities to exciting in-game entertainment, Charlotte FC games are designed to keep kids engaged and entertained. Whether you’re a soccer fan or simply looking for a fun family activity, there’s something for everyone at the stadium. Read on to discover the amazing kid-friendly offerings at Charlotte FC games and get ready for an action-packed day of entertainment!

What to Expect at a Charlotte FC Game

When you attend a Charlotte FC game, you’re in for an action-packed day of family fun! Here’s what you can expect:

Team Walkout
The Charlotte FC team walkout is fit for a queen. It features a knight in shining armor who lights a ceremonial flame before the players take the field. It’s a fun and unique tradition that adds to the excitement and pageantry of match day.

The Anthem
One of the first things that surprised me at my first Charlotte FC match was the anthem. Instead of the singer performing the entire song, they usually sing only one or two stanzas before the crowd takes over and finishes it together. Hearing thousands of fans sing in unison creates an incredible stadium moment and really sets the tone for the match.

“Pepas” Intro
Right after the anthem, the energy ramps up even more. Fans turn around with their backs to the field, link arms with the people around them, and jump together as the stadium blasts music. It’s one of those traditions that instantly makes you feel part of the crowd and gets everyone pumped for kickoff.

Concessions
If you’re sitting in the Club Level, you’ll enjoy complimentary soft drinks throughout the season. One of our favorite stops is near Section 350, where you can grab Dippin’ Dots ice cream or an espresso latte for a little extra treat. Pro tip: download the Charlotte FC app and order food ahead of time to skip the lines and get back to the action faster.

Minty Mascot Visits
Keep an eye out for Minty, Charlotte FC’s beloved mascot. This giant soccer-ball character is constantly roaming the stadium, hyping up sections, interacting with fans, and posing for photos. Kids especially love spotting Minty during the game.

Halftime Fun & Giveaways
Halftime is more than just a quick break in the match. There are often fun on-field activities and interactive games that families can enjoy, plus special giveaways that make the experience even more memorable.

Fireworks Moments
At select matches, the celebration continues with small fireworks displays that add an extra spark to the atmosphere. It’s a fun surprise that keeps the excitement going long after kickoff

Game Day Tips for Families

Clear Bag Policy: The club has a clear bag policy. Only transparent bags up to 12" x 6" x 12" or small bags (like purses, fanny packs, or clutches) up to 4.5" x 6.5" are allowed. Blankets are allowed but must be shaken before entering. My favorite bag is linked here

Ticket Prices: Resale tickets for lower-level seats often range from $16–$28, while upper-level sections offer great views and open at various times throughout the season. Supporter Sections (119–124 and 228–231) are the most energetic and can be rowdy, so families with young kids may prefer other areas. New for 2026: Charlotte FC has introduced a $26 ticket option for select matches. Tickets here.

Children: All kids over 12 months need a ticket to enter the stadium. Kids under 12 months can come without a ticket but must sit with an adult. Adults can sign up kids for the Tag-A-Kid Program at any Guest Relations Booth on the 100 level.

Arrive Early: Make sure to arrive early! Doors open 1.5 hours before the match, giving you plenty of time to explore pre-game activities for kids and get settled in.

Stop by Guest Services: Call Chants Sheets are at Guest Services. They are mix of English and Spanish but the majority are in Spanish.

Face Painting: Kids can show their Charlotte FC pride with fun designs at the face painting section (availability and times may vary by game). The cost for a single design is typically around $6 and full face is $10.

Shop for Kids’ Apparel: Visit the stadium’s gift shop for discounted kids' clothing—perfect for souvenirs, without having to purchase player-specific gear. Girl Tribe always has the sweetest sports gear. Use code CharlotteMama for 15% off merch.
