Looking for a fun, hands-on experience in Charlotte that’s perfect for young kids? Head to ImaginOn for “Curious George: Let’s Get Curious!”, an interactive exhibit that brings the beloved character to life through immersive, educational play. This free exhibit runs during regular ImaginOn building hours and is ideal for children ages 3–7 and their caregivers.
📚 Step into the World of Curious George
Based on the classic stories by H.A. and Margret Rey and inspired by the PBS KIDS animated series, this 1,500 sq. ft. exhibit introduces children to science, math, engineering, and storytelling through fun, problem-solving adventures—led by none other than Curious George himself.
🚀 What You’ll Experience
Families can explore themed areas packed with hands-on activities designed to spark curiosity and imagination:
🏙️ Apartment Building
Help George climb by operating pulleys, explore color and light, and play inside the fire escape!
🍎 Sidewalk Produce Stand
Sort, weigh, and count fruits and veggies. Kids can roleplay as customer or cashier while learning early math skills.
🏗️ Construction Site
Design and build with real tools and materials. Little engineers will love this space!
🌳 City Park
Take a break with George in an urban green space. Don’t forget to snap a pic with the full-size Curious George!
⛳ Mini Golf
Use ramps, funnels, pipes, and bumpers to learn about force, motion, and gravity as you play through three kid-friendly golf holes.
🌌 Space Rocket
Climb into George’s rocket, pose in his astronaut suit, and send the picture home via email.
